Danish Blade Service received first order from the Nordex Group

International Blade Service (IBS) is proud to announce that we have been awarded a contract from the Nordex Group in Turkey. This is the first order for the International Blade Service in the MENA region.

The Nordex Group is the leading OEM in the Turkish Market with2.133 MW installed capacity. In addition they will add up 1.024 MW wind farms more which are under construction by 2021.

Danish Blade Service (DBS), who is operating under the name of International Blade Service (IBS), was confirmed as approved supplier by the Nordex Group and few other leading OEM’s in late 2020.

Nordex Group’s Global Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Blade team operates at external blade manufacturing factories and on their own facilities and sub-manufacturers throughout Spain, Turkey, India and Mexico. IBS will be supporting the Nordex Group Global SQE Blade team in the Blade Manufacturing Plant in İzmir, Turkey, with regards to quality inspection and assurance of the manufactured rotor blades of a third party.

International Blade Service MENA Director Mert Gün says “It is great to have received this order and it is a sign of the Nordex Group’s confidence in our capabilities in the region. We have more than +20 years in the blade industry and look forward to cooperate with the Nordex Group in their other projects.”

Danish Blade Service Accreditations are confirmed by leading OEM’s

Danish Blade Service (DBS), who is operating under the name of International Blade Service(IBS) in its International branches, is proud to declare that accreditations of their services are confirmed by industry leading global wind turbine OEM’s  in last quarter of year 2020.

DBS & IBS has together vast experience in the Blade Service Industry and substantial local market knowledge. IBS and the company strategy was launched earlier this year in June. Within a short period the market have responded positively to IBS and this has amongst other now resulted in approved supplier accreditations by leading wind turbine OEM’s.

The company has passed examinations and audits both locally and globally by the listed OEM’s.

Danish Blade Service opens office in Turkey Izmir for MENA area

Danish Blade Service is proud to announce the opening of our office and company in Izmir Turkey.

The regional office will operate under the name “International Blade Service”(IBS), which is Danish Blade Service’(DBS) brand when setting up offices  and companies outside Denmark.

IBS’ regional office in Izmir will be managed by Mert Gün, which has many years of experience in the local wind power market. Mert comes lately from a local leading wind farm operator.

In the past year DBS have seen an increasing number of requests from Turkey and other countries in MENA and is now taking the step to also operate locally to support the local wind power industry with blade services.

Regional Managing Director Mert Gün says “ I am very excited to get started with IBS, we already have a number of interesting requests from international and local companies for our services, where we will execute them with local resources plus the specialist support from DBS to ensure top quality and competitive prices.”

In addition to the traditional services of inspection and repair of blades DBS also see a growing demand for Factory Acceptance Test inspections locally with a growing local market in blade manufacturing. Further more DBS have a number of special products such as Rotor Performance Improvement that can improve operational life and performance of some of the older asset in Turkey, UV hardening Resin for quick repairs which would be beneficial particular for the turbines placed in mountainous areas in Turkey where you see low temperatures and we look forward to see IBS implementing those locally for the benefit of our customers
